Reviewing changes
Claudette keeps track of every file Claude changes in a session and what each one held before. This chapter shows how to see them all in one list, read a file’s changes in the diff view, tick files off as you review them, put a change back, look at what a single turn did, and open diffs in your own diff tool. To read and edit the files themselves, see Project files.
In this chapter
- Changed filesThe Changed files tool window lists the files Claude changed in that tab's session, each added, modified or deleted, with how many lines changed.
- The diff viewThe diff view shows what Claude changed in one file: the file as it was before Claude's first change in the session, against the file as it is now.
- Reviewed filesWhen Claude has changed a lot of files, it helps to keep track of the ones you've read.
- RevertingWhen you've read a change and don't want it, the diff view can put the file back as it was, as long as Claudette knows what the file held before.
- Changes per turnChanged files shows everything since the session started.
- External diff toolsIf you have a diff tool you prefer, Claudette can open a changed file's diff in it instead of the built-in diff view.
